The Atlas caravan sleeps 2 x adults in the double bed (4 ft 4" x 6 ft), 2 x children in the twin bunks - they are 6 ft x 2 ft so suitable for children up to the age of about 12 years, a bigger single bed can be made up for a 5 th guest in the sitting room.
The Bluebird sleeps 2 x adults in the double bed (4 ft x 6 ft) and 2 x children in the single bunks either side of the table (2 ft 4" x 6 ft).
There is room for a travel cot in the sitting room of the Atlas caravan but we do not provide one. There is also a bedrail available - please ask if you would like to use it.
We provide all bedding, duvet covers, pillow cases, sheets and bath towels, the beds will be made up when you arrive. You will find an oven glove and tea towel in the kitchen. Please bring your own beach towels. All electricity is included in your stay.
The kitchens in both caravans are well equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. We are often praised by guests who are pleased to find everything they need, including a caftiere.
Yes, the Atlas caravan has a modern shower room with basin and loo within the caravan. The Bluebird has a wet room with shower, loo and basin, exclusively for your use, only a step away from the caravan.
The caravans will be cleaned and the beds made up ready for your arrival, this is included in your stay. We clean the caravan after you have departed but always appreciate guests leaving the caravans clean and tidy and taking the sheets off their beds before they leave.
The Atlas caravan has a fenced in garden with access to the hillside and a wooden deck where you can sit to enjoy the views. The Bluebird caravan has a courtyard garden which is shady but not fenced. Both caravans have tables/chairs for eating outside. There are comfortable chairs in the shed for you to use during your stay.
You are welcome to bring up to two dogs and walk them on our 35 acre farm. We do not have livestock on our farm, only hens and geese behind and electric fence. Our neighbours have sheep so please keep your dogs under control. Please clean up after your dog.
There is a barbecue for each caravan with utensils and a brush to clean it after use. Please bring your own charcoal and leave the barbecue clean for the next guests.
You will find a folder in each caravan containing leaflets and information on things to do and places to stay. We are a short drive from the Jurassic coast and the market towns of Bridport and Axminster. There are lots of footpaths nearby and National Trust properties to visit. There is an excellent tourist information centre in Bridport. The Dorset website is a great place to start to plan your holiday - VistDorset
We have an assortment of domestic birds - hens, geese, guinea fowl and pheasants - and you are welcome to buy eggs from us. You will find half a dozen complimentary eggs in the fridge when you arrive. If you would like to buy more please ask, £1.25 for 6 and goose eggs as available.
